Not only are we moving out of our house for a bit (well, have moved out at this point), Ethan is also moving daycare centers! Cummins Child Development Center (CCDC) built in an awesome facility with state of the art everything that was flooded in 2008. It is just now re-opening and ready to be occupied again. We have been going to a different building (that CCDC rented while they were displaced) since Ethan started daycare, and it's time to move back into the new (and site of the old) daycare center.
I wanted to make sure to take pictures of Ethan in the room he has been in for some time at the old building.
Here he is playing with some toys.
And a picture of his crib. His is on the left. Remember he was moved from the one on the right because he almost sounded the fire alarm! Read about that here.
And with his teachers, Jennifer (Jen) and Margaret (Mags). They are fantastic!!! He will stay in the same classroom (meaning same kids and teachers) for some time after the move. But pretty soon he will be moving out of the infant room into the toddler room!
And another random shot of the room and Ethan going to get some toys. Notice the little boy underneath the bouncer. That's Jordan. And he loves hanging out underneath the bouncer. He's in that thing almost every morning I drop Ethan off.
Corey and I got a tour of the new facility last week and it is just amazing. There are vents on the changing tables that continuously suck air out of the changing area so there are minimal smells. The staff is armed with these devices that measure the amount of dirt on things (such as changing tables, sleeping cots, cribs, etc.) to ensure the center is really clean. There are 5 playgrounds, a few gardens, a big open space for yoga and karate, and the rooms are spacious and clean. All of the infant rooms have a separate kitchen with fridge and bottle warmers and sinks. It is all really great. And, it's about 450 yards from Corey's work with walking paths to get to the child care center. Just perfect. He starts going to the new building on Monday. I just have to remember to go to the correct location for drop off.
