Egg Hunt!

One of our most favorite events - ever - is the Tipton Easter Egg Hunt.  We dominate every year.  This year, grandma made sure to talk strategy with Ethan pre-hunt.

When it was go time, Morgan was a little shy.  But soon she got the hang of it!

Ethan took a break to say cheese -- is he hunting eggs or is dada??

I am pretty sure grandad was reaching in his pocket for some goodies at this point.

After the hunt, the kids held hands (for 2 seconds) on the way home.

family photos

Every year around December 20th my mom calls me asking for a family picture to include in her Christmas card.  I frantically search on my computer for a picture that a). wasn't taken on an iphone, b). doesn't have Ethan picking his nose, and c). is time appropriate (let me tell you how different kids look from 2 weeks old to 11 months old - as is the case with Morgan this year!).  I always fail at getting a good picture.  Not wanting to repeat the same thing again this year, I arranged for my favorite photographer to come snap some pics of the Trueblood/Trobaugh clan over Thanksgiving. 

We spent a lot of time planning these pictures.  There might have been emails circulating about what to wear and I might have put this together.

I was a game day decision on what to wear but I had planned the outfits of Morgan, Ethan, and Corey!

still. sick.

Now it's pink eye and ear infections that we are dealing with.  Lovely.  I promise to get back to updates with pictures.  But who wants to see pictures of pink eye?!

Full of viruses and bugs

We have been full of viruses and bugs around this house!  It started 2 Sundays ago when Ethan got a fever that didn't stop until Wednesday afternoon.  Then, on Thursday, Morgan woke up at 4AM puking.  Everyone was OK - not great - on Friday.  This past weekend was OK - then it's as if the kids swapped illnesses.  Ethan puked at school yesterday - by the time I got him he had gotten sick 3 times.  Then he got sick on our way home.  And once last night.  Morgan has a terrible head cold but no fever (yet).  Corey and I have also seen better days.  I think we are getting bits and pieces of all the yuck that's living in this house.  Having sick kids really stinks - when it's added to a work schedule that's really busy and full of important meetings it really really stinks.  We are lucky to have family to help out.  And also lucky to have somewhat flexible jobs.  Tis the season for sick kids!
