movin out

We are movin out!  What a pain.  Corey and I have been packing things up since this past weekend - getting everything onto carpet.  Since all of the hardwood will be removed and new will go in, we have to move everything out of the kitchen, all closets downstairs, the bathroom, and the hallway/entry way.  Yikes didn't we just move in ~9 months ago.  This is like a bad dream - like having bad flashbacks. 

The great news - we are just moving a few blocks away.  Over the river (well, the lake) and through the woods to grandma and grandad's house we will go.  I cannot explain how much better this will be than a hotel.  Thank goodness we are welcomed guests.  OK it's only because of Ethan.  We know where we stand :)  Only kidding.

Here's some before pictures (we still have to move the fridge and dishwasher out - those are very last minute as they are harder to live without than the paintings on the wall that have been down for a few days).

Here's Corey getting some of the plastic measured to hang from the rooms that won't be getting flooring - we are trying to better manage the dust with this project since the bathroom remodel was pretty dirty.

Finally, all this wood will be installed!  It's been here for a long time just hanging out like an unwelcome guest in the living room.

I was going to take a shot of how much stuff is in the dining room - this is where the majority of our belongings have gone.  But the plastic police had already been by.  You get the idea from what you can see through the plastic.
