It stopped raining today!  Just for a bit.  And the rain is coming back.  But, it was nice to see the sun!  Grandma and I took Ethan for a long walk.  It was long because he fell asleep.  Wonderful.  When he woke up, he was a little fussy (understandably) ... so he got out of the stroller.  Eventually he wanted to walk on his own.  And walk he did!  He went for such a long time!!

At one point we saw a dog that was outside.  Ethan LOVES doggies!!  He couldn't get enough of the doggy.  We tried to get Ethan to keep walking, but he just wanted to play with the doggy.  Had we let him, he would have gone all the way to get the dog by himself.  We intervened at some point before that happened.

He really did walk for a long time. At one point he needed a little refreshment.  Let me take a peek and see if there is anything in here.

A little walking and drinking.  This proved more difficult that Ethan thought.  He did learn that stopping was better for drinking.

I joked that the first 4 miles of our walk took less than 1 hour, and the last half mile took another hour.  But it was so fun to watch Ethan enjoying everything around him.
