Yes, that's peanut butter all over Ethan's face in the above picture!
Ethan is still doing very well with Morgan! He now says her name :) The cutest version of "Morgan" I have heard. He also still calls her baby. He like to point to our baby "stuff" and say baby. For example, he will point to the baby carrier and say "baby". When he's upstairs and walks by our room he says "baby" (since she is sleeping in the bassinet in our room). If she's napping we will go take a peak.
That's Ethan playing guitar for Morgan. She liked whatever it was that he was playing!
And Ethan likes to play with Morgan's things. This is a bit problematic. He likes the chair (above) and wants to push all of the buttons on it. But he obviously doesn't understand that he has to be careful when doing so. At the time when he is a little too interested in what Morgan is sitting in or near, we divert his attention (usually to music and a dancing session).
A usual encounter with Morgan will include Ethan coming over to say hello, and then Ethan wanting to touch some part of Morgan. We try to contain this to the top of her head and her feet and make sure that Ethan is gentle. When he strays off of these locations, we say no and redirect him. He doesn't like this. Once he realizes he can't do what he wants (perhaps poke her eye, pick her nose, look for teeth), he gets upset and can get a little "snippy" with Morgan. He may try to pull on her clothes, for example. This is when he gets completely redirected and I will usually just take Morgan upstairs away from the action.
Ethan is a great big brother! He is doing really really well with Morgan. Better than I could have imagined. I have heard others say that once the baby of the family starts to move (crawl or scoot) things can change. But for right now Ethan is just doing great with Morgan! And, he likes to point things out (below he is showing her a bird ... which goes "tweet tweet"). This is my favorite picture of them so far!!
