maiden voyage

It was our first boat ride of 2011 tonight!!  After another rainy week and record rains for spring, we took total advantage of the break in the wet stuff this evening for our first boat ride.  We were the only boat out on the lake besides a few fishing boats.  We realized why when we got on the water and it was a bit chilly.  Please forgive Ethan's outfit - we had just finished bath time and I didn't want to change more outfits than necessary!

What's that ahead?

Ethan really started turning the wheel and wouldn't let go.  So, he was fired from driving the boat because we were headed for an iceberg and our fate was going to be like that of the RMS Titantic.  He then had to sit with me.  This made him very mad.  He wanted to drive the boat.  He likes to be in charge.  A true Aries.

Well that was fun family time if I have ever seen it ;)  Here's to more boat rides this year!
