There's been a lot done in the basement .... all the "guts" are done and now is more of the finishing work. Here's how it's looking:

During construction, we have a HUGE blockage in the kitchen. There is essentially a plastic tunnel from the basement door to the outdoor patio door so that the crew can come and go without tracking drywall dust all over the house. Smart, really! That means that to get from the kitchen to the family room we have to walk around through the front of the house (versus our usual path of straight through that tunnel). We also have no table and Ethan's chair has moved spots.
Another full week to finish the drywall. Then painters are coming!! In the meantime, we have to choose tile and a vanity for the bathroom, finish choosing carpet, and lots more little details (doors, door knobs, a french door, how to finish out the built ins, etc.). The details are the fun and probably the most involved part.
