triathlon

This past Saturday was a big triathlon in Columbus - and it was right down the street from us!  In fact, the running portion used to come right by our house (the course changed this year).  In order to check things out, we all ventured over to the lake to see the swimmers!

That's gramma and grandad's house in the background.  We were trying to get Ethan to look over and wave his hands -- instead he decided that he would practice his tennis serve (sans equipment).  And Morgan wasn't in much of a waving mood either.

Then, trying to get Ethan and Morgan to look at the camera at the same time - this is all I got.

Best stick to one person looking at the camera at a time!

And after we watched the swimmers, we finished up breakfast and then all headed out for a walk with gramma.

The triathlon atmosphere was so fun.  There was a big jump house at the marina (where all of the transitions and the finish line was).  Ethan jumped and loved it.  Music was playing.  People were running and biking down the streets really fast (and we were on the paths cheering them on).  It would be a fun goal for me to try to do the triathlon next year.  Shoot, I wouldn't even have to drive there!  First I need to run, bike, and swim some ;)
