You're kidding me, right?!

I just wrote a really long post on a day to day detail of the renovation. And it didn't save. That's about the way things have been going with the remodel. But I will once again just have to say, "you're kidding me right?!".

The bathroom renovation has caused us to get a new ceiling in the family room. It was a HUGE mess to say the least. We even moved out for one night with the sanding that was done. Here's the before textured ceiling:

It's awesome. Despite the headaches it caused.

And the next thing we get to go shopping for is new flooring. Once they pulled up the protective cover on the hardwoods it also pulled off the varnish on the floor! Good news is that the contractor's insurance will pay for it. Bad news it's ... More mess to deal with and we will have to leave for at least 3 days during the reflooring process. Here's the damage that was done:

Notice the rough look and there even still looks like there is a plastic cover on the floor














The not great part about this is that we also have to have the stair case and the banister sanded down and re-stain to match the new floors that we get. Yikes!!

All I kept saying was "you're kidding me, right?!" when this was all unfolding. Here's hoping it all looks good when it's done and that there are no more issues!
