We started by watching elephant Tommie getting a bath. At a small 7,000 pounds, it took a fair amount of water to get her clean.
Then we watched some Baboons ... some of the young ones were playing which was cute.
There was a baby giraffe born at the Indianapolis Zoo last week, but the baby is still too young to be out near people. But we got to see some other giraffes!
And saw lots more!
Lions ...
And tigers ...
And Bears ...
OH MY.
Followed by some hippos
And a dragon
Some penguins
And sharks
And seals
At 12:30 it was time for the dolphin show. We both agreed this was our favorite part of the zoo. There were 4 dolphins and trainers doing various tricks for about 40 minutes - it was very entertaining. Also fun was reminiscing about the time we swam with the dolphins in the Bahamas in November of 2006 - such a fun trip that was!
Final stop was the butterfly garden.
And then we came home to our own zoo, Louie and Riley!
